workshops

I offer one to one, or small group bowl making workshops from my studio forge in north east Suffolk.

Working with metal, wood, fire, air and water, a typical workshop runs over two days, and participants are guided and supported through all processes, from choosing a piece of sheet metal, through to a finished bowl. Other than a fundamental dexterity, no previous experience is required.

If you would like to arrange one outside the available booking times, please get in touch via the contact page.

Workshops are £330 pp and include refreshments and a light homemade lunch.

I had no worry or trepidation as each stage unfolded and the bowl took shape in my hands. Even when more bumps needed hammering away and the not yet perfect edges required their final finesses I was confident that a pleasing result would happen. Your guidance and help was offered with care and calm that contributed and directed me to achieve a beautiful piece to treasure for ever.”

”Thank you so, so much for our beautiful singing bowl, which has brought such magic and wonder into our house. We never tire of the sound it makes; so rich and satisfying yet ethereal. It’s the peace we love the most; the way with one little tap we are suddenly at its mercy. We just have to stop, and breathe and listen, and be taken into eternity for the time it takes to finish. Every house should have one!
